
Suffragette
Suffragette is a British historical drama based 2015 movie directed and written by Sarah Gavron and Abi Morgan. Suffragette is the first movie whose shooting was done in the Houses of Parliament by taking the permission of MPs.
In early 20th-century the growing suffragette movement changes the life of mother and working wife Maud Watts (Carey Mulligan). Stimulated by political activity Emmeline Pankhurst joins a group of women who fight for right to vote and equality. Maud and her suffragettes’ members must play a dangerous game where they are risking their, homes, jobs, family and lives for a worthy motivation. Maud faces stigma from her co-workers and neighbors. Maud is called to a secret rally to hear the speech of Pankhurst. Her husband throws Maud on the street despite this she struggles to see her son and continues to work for her right and freedom.
