Hodgson family in 1977 starts feeling strange things happening in their house in London. Their youngest daughter, Janet Hodgson is found sleep walking and talking loud in her sleep as herself and as someone else. Everyone in the house, including Janet’s mother Peggy witness the supernatural events happening in their house right in front of them. The frequent occurrence of the paranormal activity makes them realize that they need some external help. The word gets out quickly and soon media starts gathering around their house to ask question about Janet’s possession. The story gets popular and eventually reaches Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, who are paranormal investigators who are requested by Peggy to help their family. However, this nothing like what Ed and Lorraine has done in the past. This time the evil spirits want to target Warrens.
